John M. Charles
Managing DirectorMr. Charles directs a team of Asset Managers and Financial Analysts who are responsible for the management of all assets that include debt, equity and REO positions. Mr. Charles has seventeen years’ experience in the commercial real estate industry. He joined TriMont in 1991 as an Asset Manager and advanced through the years to the Managing Director position; in February of 2003 Mr. Charles became one of three owners of the Company and as such helps set the strategic direction of the firm.
Ernest J. Davis
Managing DirectorMr. Davis is responsible for the supervision of real estate and financial consulting, portfolio reporting, loan and equity servicing, insurance, treasury, management information systems, information technology, human relations, and accounting and finance. In addition, he is responsible for the oversight of the firm’s opportunity fund’s asset management which now includes an operation in London, India, and Singapore. Mr. Davis assists in the development of policies and procedures, recruits and develops the capabilities of the employees, and provides guidance to the managers in his department. Mr. Davis is also involved in strategic and financial planning for the Company with the Managing Directors and employees. Mr. Davis joined TriMont in 2001 and has more than twenty years of financial auditing and consulting experience with extensive experience in commercial real estate organizations. Prior to joining TriMont, Mr. Davis was a Partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP a global accounting and consulting firm.
J. Gregory Winchester
Managing DirectorAs a Managing Director of TriMont and one of the three owners of the company, Mr. Winchester’s focus is asset management, new business cultivation, and strategic planning for the Company. He joined TriMont in 1996, and has over 25 years of industry experience in a variety of roles that have encompassed underwriting, originations, and asset management. During his career he has been involved in the portfolio management of over $100 billion of assets in nearly all property types and capital structures. Prior to joining TriMont, Mr. Winchester was employed by the short term lending subsidiary of Lomas Financial and by the real estate department of the First National Bank of Atlanta. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina (BSBA) and is a member of CMSA, NAREIM, and ICSC.
